The lead suspect in the murder of Legon Law lecturer, Opambour Agya Badu Nkansah is said to have passed away last Saturday, October 17, at the Police Hospital in Accra.
A Police source told Graphic Online that suspect died shortly after admission to hospital; he had been sick for a while and had been put on oxygen at the intensive care unit.
Nkansah, who was an alleged accomplice of James Nana Womba in the murder of the University of Ghana law lecturer had been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and murder and had been arraigned before the Kaneshie District Court.
According to the police source, Nkansah was treated and discharged but was later sent to the hospital last Saturday, where he was admitted for treatment but died shortly afterwards.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
