The much anticipated 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Celebration is set to commence on Friday, 28th of August through to Sunday, 30th of August, thus dubbed the VGMA weekend. The concert is to celebrate Ghana’s steep culture, vivacious music and our iconic artists.
The concert commences on Friday through to Saturday and a Heroes Concert on Sunday to celebrate our gallant frontline health workers for their sacrifice and service in the fight against COVID- 19.
On the nights of Friday and Saturday, a total of 30 awards for competing categories will be presented to well deserving nominees. Music lovers are to be thrilled and entertained by stars including EL, Kidi, Adina, Kuame Eugene, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Akwaboah, King Promise, Eno Barony, Strongman, Celestine Donkor, Ras Kuku, Efya, Kofi Mole, Epixode and many more.
This event is strictly by invitation and this is to help observe the various protocols put in place in the fight against corona virus.
However, music lovers will watch it by way of live broadcast on TV3 in Ghana, Soundcity TV, The Base TV, Rok Ghana on DSTV & GOtv in Africa, and worldwide via the internet on MTVbase and on Ghana Music Awards social media pages, at 8pm each night.
